As a side note, the project we will be working on is a fairly simple project which was designed, as I said, from the ground up to demonstrate how to use the program. Learners are encouraged to follow along in the creation of this project to maximize learning opportunities. Basically, this course is tied to a central project which has been designed to demonstrate the uses of Scribus.
Also, our course is structured to provide a project-based approach that will demonstrate the use of the Interface as well as the various tools that are available inside of Scribus. We're also going to be interested in talking about what Desktop Publishing is and we'll see that in upcoming movies. Our goal is to learn about how the different aspects of Scribus's Interface can be used to develop all of the different document needs that we might have for Desktop Publishing. We're also interested in exploring the Interface and the uses of Scribus. The goal here is to provide information to you about the Open Source philosophy surrounding Scribus and understand what Scribus can help you do.
So, first off, this course is designed to provide an overview of what Scribus is about. So, let's go ahead and let's look at those course Objectives. We will also be looking at the Course Outline to see all of the pieces that will help us arrive at our course objectives. We also discuss who this course is prepared for so that we'll understand a little bit more about what's covered, why it's covered and how it's covered. Now, in this Introductory section we will establish the objectives for the course and examine the contents of the course to better understand the nature and scope of the course.
